Wait, that movie…trying to make sense of that plot, lol. Huh. Okay, I think I got it, but I can’t find a place to watch it. I’ll put it on my list for sure, though. Thanks for bringing it over, and the update on Pearl! Have a great day. 🙂

I actually didn’t know, until a person I follow started going through them and posting and I was like, oh. Honestly, I was pretty impressed, but also kind of waiting for the f/f, lol. So yes, for our interest is Pearl Next Door, you say? Hmmmm, interesting. Definitely gonna keep an eye on that channel!

I have been keeping track of it, but I’m sorry, I don’t really have the most positive feelings about it at the moment. I was pretty excited from the trailer, but I did not love how things went down in the first ep.
SPOILERS FOR THE FIRST EP:
I really did not like how a big deal was made of how drunk Amara was and Maya herself continuing to point that out and highlight how gullible and impressionable she was in that state and keeping her away from guys and then…sleeping with her? Yes, Amara kissed her first, but wen someone else is a lot more drunk than you, it’s still kind of on you to stop it.
I had heard that it got better from that but it was tough for me to keep my level of excitement after that. I’m still downloading the eps and will catch up at some point, this is such a big first and so significant and there were so many cute moments and Juliantina and Jathea similarities in the trailer.

So…wow! Good call on starting with the promos, they revealed a ton of the story, progressively more of it. I was first getting major The Rich Man’s Daughter vibes but this seems way more intense (if that’s even possible). It’s the guy, he seems awful and the homophobia from him very extreme and personal.
I gotta say, the first promo starting off with the Roohi character talking about girls who like girls in Hindi, a language my family speaks, that felt so bizarre and cool!
I’ve not watched the first ep yet, but I’ll definitely try to watch the series when I can. Do you know when the other eps will be released? I actually downloaded the app in the link and was able to get access to the other eps, but I’m wondering what the public release schedule is, if any.
