Rana has a really pretty mouth. Not in a sexual or perverse way, but her combo of teeth and lips are really pretty to look at.

This has been staring me in the face in an open tab for a day now and I’m never in the right place to answer it after thinking about what Corrie’s doing on screen, but lol, anon, she really does. And can I say I’m actually kinda pleased that even though the reason behind it is Rana’s horrible depression spiral, we’re seeing some different lipstick colors! Silver linings and all that.

It breaks my heart to see Rana like this, I mean props to Bhavna on the terrific acting, but it has really been upside down ever since Zee has found out. It’s really fucking terrible Rana is forced out the closet like this and on a lighter note, it seems Imran is supporting her and being gentle and is the only one standing by her? I’m not sure what to think anymore! -sw

Yeah, we’re definitely supposed to feel sorry for her, and on the one hand, yay, no more of that cheating malarkey hanging over their heads because this is like the harshest cheating soap redemption I’ve ever seen, but I just don’t think being constantly outed is the best way to tell the story. Where’s her own agency in it? 

I am very glad Imran’s standing with her…I wish we could have seen how he initially reacted and how she told him.

To be fair, many of us have gone through a “namesexual” phase before accepting we are gay (lesbian, bisexual, etc…). So I see Rana still being in that denial/confused/questioning phase cause at the end of the day Kate in fact is the only woman (dare I say person?) she has these feelings for. Hopefully we will get to see her explore her sexuality more and maybe settle on a label.

Shows definitely do that kind of thing when hyping up a specific love story, to kind of misguidedly highlight how special it is that a seemingly straight person’s SO in love with this one person who HAPPENS to be a woman. And in real life, when somebody’s first going through that, they may think about that person as an exception, but I think real people are more likely to think about what it means for them, as opposed to the straight writers writing a fictional character. But I still don’t see the point of her coming out as only Katesexual, if they’re going to make her go through all of this.
