Ah, you’re right about regular TV drama, but I’m sure all these soaps have their strong and weak points and their fans. Any one of them might surprise us, in a good way or bad.
I sometimes wish that kana weren’t in a soap. Soaps are always for the drama and never the storyline. If it’s dramatic they’ll go with it no matter what which sucks.
Aye, I was thinking a few months back how I wished they were in a different genre, hell, even a spin-off (I know it’ll never happen, no need to remind me), but it’s double-edged, isn’t it, we’d never get them in a normal show, or at least not with this much content.

I will say, though, that her parents don’t seem at all devout enough to pull something like this, and the mom especially seemed willing to hear Rana out, BUT, if it’s a matter of shame, then they totally seem image-conscious enough to do it. To do what, I’m not quite sure, the way the contract storyline was presented, it was the alternative to a lot of very specific threats from Zee, but what is it that they’re going to try now, they can’t exactly send Rana back home to be married again? Gonna keep her locked away? That’s not very feasible but it is very soapy. I just hope they don’t lose their way between a dramatic soapy storyline and teaching their scary lessons about the “reality”.

Like, the location filming is just near a canal, Kate, Rana, Yasmeen, Imran and Zee are there and that’s literally all we know, but everyone’s assumed the worst possible thing for no reason.
Yeah, I can see how that’s frustrating, people bandying about these serious and real things as potential plot twists and how that’d affect their romantic ship. I guess it’s easier to distance themselves when, aside from everything else, it is a soap, and one that does some pretty out there stuff. But so far, people have seemed to predict a lot of dark things for Rana and when they haven’t happened, they simply postpone those same headcanons and then bring them back the moment things seem like they could be taking a downward turn.

And yes I get what you mean about liking them more depending on the arc but I guess I just feel… like with any other person, that I click with them because of their personality or character traits. Hmm, I do see what you mean and I do have my favorites, but the moment I ship a couple, I like them both a lot? To even ship them, I have to like them a lot, and like them with and for each other, and I know that’s not how everyone does it, but it’s me. 😡
