queerhawkeye:

the aos cast and the aos staff both think grant ward deserves a redemption arc and to end up with skye????? i’m gonna throw up

Whaaaat? Looked it up and…ew.

“I like to consider myself an antihero, not a villain,” Dalton told Seat42F.

Chloe Bennet agrees with Dalton. The actress mentioned that she doesn’t think Skye’s storyline with Ward is over yet. She thinks there will be hope for them because she doesn’t believe Grant is truly a bad guy.

“I really don’t think deep down that Ward is—Well, [Ward is] a murderer. [He does] kill people really in a horrible way,” Bennet told AfterBuzz TV. “But he was manipulated by Garrett. I hope there’s redemption. I’m not sure if it’s going to happen this season, but I think something will bring Skye and Ward together.”

Dalton added, “Have I made some questionable choices? Yes, but I’m also that scared little kid at the well and I don’t think we can forget that: the scared little kid who couldn’t shoot his dog.”

But you shot people. How is being manipulated an excuse? He was a grown man when he continuously chose to side with Garrett and against SHIELD, including the attempt on FitzSimmons. Lots of abusers and murderers (and a whole lot of terrorists) come from traumatic backgrounds, that doesn’t mean their actions are absolved.

And “I think something will bring Skye and Ward together”? Ugh, they’re going to give him what he wants? After the way he threatened her? Gross, gross, gross.
