I KNOW. I’m going to be so angry at them.
I do think that ultimately they won’t make them too cruel. While Zee was never that bad a guy, her parents were kind of terrible from the start but they’ll probably still be written better than in real life, if only because flat out disowning and never keeping in touch again isn’t the right message nor makes for good drama. So they’ll probably reconcile at some point. But until then, they’re gonna be some shady ass bastards.

There have been definite unexpected twists here and there, and the dearth of spoilers about Kana specifically, not the individual ones, make me wonder what’s going to happen. You’d think that as soon as Rana tells Zee (and consequently leaves him?), Kate would fly back to Rana, but Sophie and Carla add wildcards to the situation. After all this, it can’t be a simple reunion after Rana tells Zee? What new drama will they add?

I did see those, I did. Those aren’t the exact interpretations of the spoilers, I’d say, but that it’s even one of them is alarming for Zee’s characterization. Threatening to expose her? I’m sorry, whaaat? And her parents are there now??
Although, although, it makes a huge difference to me if HE thinks, oh, she had an affair with a dude and thinks her parents can convince her to stay with him, though I’m sure he knows they’ll only guilt and put pressure on her, it’s not going to be some loving “are you sure this is what you want?” conversation, so already, negative marks for Zee there. But if he knows she’s in love with a woman and threatening Rana about telling her parents that? NEGATIVE INFINITY MARKS.
