I do think though, that whatever downsides there are to soaps (and tbh it’s not like regular tv drama is immume to awful shock tactic drama either, there’s really no guarantees with any tv), thank goodness Kana are on Corrie and not miserable ass EastEnders or trashy Hollyoaks or dude-obsessed Emmerdale. It’s really nice that they’re entirely the work of a female showrunner, too.
Ah, you’re right about regular TV drama, but I’m sure all these soaps have their strong and weak points and their fans. Any one of them might surprise us, in a good way or bad.
