God, one thing LGBT stories everywhere–whether they’re from countries new to them or…a bit less new–need to learn to do is treat outing like the horrible thing it is. It isn’t some sharing of a juicy secret.

Cheating is bad, everyone knows that. A lot of people don’t seem to get that outing is terrible! Shows will still do it for the drama, fine, but condemn it within the narrative.

How did this happen?! How did the scene get released?!? Omg I’m stunned

I think everyone is! How often have f/f fans (or fans of any marginalized character) tweeted for something and actually gotten it? Just like that. No caveats, no demands.

I was saying to a friend, it’s so small in the scheme of things, but we never get listened to! Often, networks seem to go out of their way to be horrible.

Though, do they know what they’ve unleashed? Lol. This and every other fandom’s gonna tweet long and hard for every little thing. Well, perhaps they don’t mind that either.

Hey! Have you ever heard of the Facebook show called Strangers? It’s a coming of age story about a woman discovering her newly found bisexuality while navigating her writing career. It has a great cast, clever script, and extensive lgbtq+ representation. It is such a “gifable” show with two seasons and hopefully a 3rd on the way! Plus no lesbian character dies/abused/disowned/etc (which to me is a total win). You should totally check it out!

I actually did watch and it is on my list to gif, it just got buried in my gif list. I think I discovered it when I was deep into Kana so any free time I had was going toward there. But I loved Kathleen Munroe on Haven (that show honestly has the weirdest combination of interesting guest stars) so I’ll definitely gif it at some point. I mean…aside from everything else about the show, lol, not to minimize the actual lead.
