So, I started watching AAM around ep 50 and didn’t really think I needed to rewatch from the beginning (juliantina scenes) because the gifs did the talking. Anyway, I finally watched it all from the beginning (thanks All the Lilies lol) and I’m actually sat here flailing at their development. They are so soft and loving from the beginning. And you see them both slowly fall in love, in very different ways. I absolutely cannot get enough and I have you to thank for introducing me to them.

I’m glad you came to your senses, anon! To miss the pre-50 Juliantina scenes in all their actual glory? That would have been tragic, that was some of their best stuff. I may be biased, as a build up lover, but they had so many great scenes then! So many great scenes after too. Ah, we’ve been lucky.

And of course, it’s been very my pleasure to get into them.

Sergio/Renata and Lucia/Jacobo don’t have a personal slot in the amar a muertes website like juliantina does. Legends only

Hah, I’m trying to remember when that section was added but it is hilarious. I love it, they were like, this thing is taking OFF.

You got the latest episode, the menu for previous episodes, then All About Juliantina. The hits they must be getting, the search results that must be leading there. They did the work to set them up, not knowing the response, and now they’re reaping the benefits.

i really don’t see why jacobo being juliana’s dad complicates the situation, concerning juliantina or the show in general. i mean juliana didn’t know he worked there until today

But the Carvajals might not believe Juliana didn’t know. It is a pretty unlikely coincidence, somehow Juliana and her dad both ingratiate themselves into the family and don’t know that the other is involved? Maybe everything Juls said before was a lie. From their suspicious POV, I mean, obviously the audience knows better.

It’s going to be odd, though, because Jacobo’s saved them a bunch of times. They can’t believe he’s in league with all these bad guys he’s saved them from, or faked this all with Servando Armanta just to play the hero, going so far as to kill him.

There’s a part of me who’s kind of happy about the angst that is about to come – the issue of trust between V/J regarding Jacobo. It can either go with: V confronting J about whether Jacobo’s her dad. If J says yes, then 1) V freaks out, J is hurt from implication that she’s bad person, J moves to CR, Jacobo comes clean, V spends time winning J back. OR: 2) confront Jacobo together as a team, not quite back together but sneaking heart eyes; fix soul jumping, fix relationship – time jump- END

Tbh, yeah, as long as there’s a solid amount of plot-based angst, you would hope that would save them from sudden, extreme drama-injecting twists. It’s crazy that they’re managing to repeatedly shock us by doing the most straightforward thing.

I don’t really see how winning Juls back will happen if she’s in Costa Rica? There’s just so much plot that needs to happen here. The cartel people coming to take care of Chino need to be handled in some way first and then the reveals have to start.

Lupe and Juls need to find out Jacobo isn’t Chino and Beltran is, Beltran’s family needs to find out his stuff, the Carvajals need to find out Jacobo is Leon and also that Lucia is super shady and Eva is having an affair with Alacran and then probably Lucia will get some kind of redemption and maybe Jacobo and Johnny and a few others will die. That’s a lot of plot to also stuff in a move to Costa Rica and all the peripheral stuff with Mateo and Panchito and Sergio and Renata’s hanger-on and Mayela.

And another anon:

Bruh this telenovela’s got me second guessing everything. On one hand I think Juls is going to lie to Val cause Drama, on the other hand I think Juls is gonna tell her everything Lupita and Jacobo have been trying to convince her of and then they’ll try to figure shit out together. But they just keep throwing curve balls at us wtf i don’t even know anymore

I’m not even guessing anymore, what happens will happen. “Oh, Juls would never go to the house.” “I don’t know if Mateo will tell Val, she might never find out Juls was outside.” “They won’t talk again soon because the revelations about their fathers need to be kept for later.” I’m out of the guessing game!

And another anon:

Im highkey ready to throw some god damn hands if they keep making valentina cry for another goddamn week yall!!

Sometimes it almost feels like Juliantina are in a different soap from everyone else, they’re being treated so much more rationally and naturally and realistically. Val is clearly suffering from her experience, meanwhile Lucia’s on her fifth kidnapping of the month and so nonchalant about it. I don’t think it’s going to get any easier for our girl, all these experiences would have happened just a day or two ago for her by the time we roll into next week. And, well, some really tough reveals and events are ahead for her.

But the Jacobo is her father is gonna pushes them away more. This is gonna make juliana leave to Costa Rica.

And another anon:

For a second, while Val’s was having panic attacks and freaking out about not feeling safe,I thought “they gonna send this bitch to Costa Rica to be safe and she’s gonna run into juls and live happily ever after I just know it” asfgjdsd

Do you really think anyone’s going to Costa Rica at this point? We got like 22 eps left and soooo much plot to cover, I cannot believe that they would send anyone away, let alone people instrumental to the main story.
