yeah – it was clearly not intended to be that but rather an empowering message about women wanting and getting sex… anyway. i am looking forward to trying the new show actually, since i was sad over how totally 1×05 ruined the original for me.
Yeah, I can understand that. I think I was too young to really understand what was going on.
The new show isn’t GREAT, and it’s kind of funny that I’m engaging in this discussion about it as much as I have, I don’t love it that much, it isn’t my favorite new thing ever. I just think it’s fun and getting a bad rap for the wrong reasons and it all just seems unfair. And unless the consequences are dire, I usually judge by intention and ambition and they’re trying, you know? They’ve definitely messed up in how they sold the casting, but I personally am willing to see how it plays out.
