Hey do you know what ‘barbarena con yordi’ means on twitter? The original tweet is gone for some reason but everyone’s talking about it and I don’t speak much Spanish so I’m really lost.

Hmm, but who would she be like that to? It’s a running joke that Juls is soft with Val and completely different with everyone else, but aside from the few people who get on her wrong side first, she’s actually pretty polite. Especially to any of Val’s people, whether or not they deserve it, Chivis, Eva. Lucho and Sergio, for real, they would crack jokes, say mean things, but she was always at least polite.

I can’t imagine anyone who knew both of them to whom Juls would be like that, like, any new coworkers or friends or just people they met, maaaybe someone being a douche and hitting on Val so she’d shed the politeness but otherw–omg, she might be like that to EVA, lmao. The more she got to know Eva, the more she’d be comfortable in getting her own back. Even if Eva accepted her, you know she’d always be a little prickly, that’s just who she is. And then Juls would fire off a comeback and just sit there like:

As soon as we found out Barbara was gonna be on that show I knew they’d have a jealousy script seeing that the interviewer was gushing over maca during their interview lol I love it

Lol, you’re more prescient than me, anon, but it made a lot of sense. Especially with their established “characterization”, as it were. And I kind of loved, after seeing some of the things people said about Barb, that she was playing along so well.

And did I hear something about possibly another one, together this time? That’s gonna be wild.

Barbara is just so humble??? Like how are you that rich, can act, can sing, can move, have that face and body, be sweet, shy, laid back, sexy, chaotic, loving, chill, thoughtful, have a good fashion sense, empathetic, a willingness to be a better and more knowledgeable person, appreciative, like how can she have and be all that and still be so humble? She’s good people. I love her

I mean…yeah, heh. I don’t have much to add. 

Like, some of those qualities, being rich and being talented and gorgeous and all that, yeah, it’s cool that in a world where those things too often make people arrogant and disconnected, she’s so gracious and kind. But those are all due to luck, it’s those other ones you mentioned, that specific graciousness and kindness, the empathy, the willingness to learn and be more aware and better, those are what really define a person, the things you have to make a choice on. I don’t really know how she did end up being this humble and openly grateful to her circumstances and fans, but it’s so lovely to see.
