Despite everything, I do mostly look for wholesome ships, heh, and this just seems like everyone’s gonna be messed up and doing everything for messed up reasons. Which, that can be fun on its own, yeah, there are some shows that are so good I’ll watch even if they don’t leave me feeling happy, so we’ll see.
Keep your eyes peeled for Netflix’s Gypsy – main romance is f/f. Supposed to be kind of fucked up though. Not rainbows and happy endings, but releasing this Friday and it’s Naomi Watts + Roxy from Kingsman.

I don’t understand the “real Muslims can’t be LGBT”. I am a gay Muslim woman, and this is the first time I see myself represented in Adena. When I saw her, I cried because my younger self would have felt less lonely seeing someone like Adena on tv.
Seeing someone like Adena who is so proud to be a Muslim lesbian feminist gave me so much hope. So to that person who said that real muslims can’t be lgbt, stop shitting on our happiness, life’s too short to hate.
When I saw the Adena storyline, I immediately thought of you and how happy you would be to see that. I was giddy watching the storyline during my second day of Eid cause I’ve been waiting for that for so looong. Eid Mubarak!

I was bracing myself for either an Islamaphobic non-Muslim or a Muslim homophobe, and tbh, was hoping for the former, those are easier to shrug aside. But I see it is the latter.

I’ll begin a show just for a ship, but it’s very rare that I’ll keep watching a show I don’t like for a ship.
