well… there was gunfire around them and neither got shot so i guess we can celebrate that? lol I think that if Juliana does leave, they’ll try to postpone it as much as possible and she’ll probably be back a few eps before the finale. Either way they’ll try to push the drama to the max and drag it for as much as they can lmao

Lol, considering our theories and conjecture, yeah, this wasn’t that bad. I don’t want to dare the show to defy my expectations like it already has but I never really believed they’d leave. How could they, with their parts in the plot? But them getting together, well, that’s harder to guess.

I mean, a time skip in the middle seems impossible not just because of the plot but because of the very premise. The body jumpers need to either redeem themselves and the tattoos disappear or they’ll be bad and the bodies will be destroyed for real. There’s no real way they can just coast.

in the clips of tomorrow’s ep we can see Juls is gonna confront Jacobo and she says she will call the cops on him, and also Lucia is gonna tell Val about Jacobo/Juls/Lupe. That can lead to so much trouble especially if Val believes that is all set up and Juls was in it with Jacobo to trick her and her family. TELENOVELAAA

I have a feeling juls and val wont see each other until the supposed time jump. I hope they get a proper reunion and not just fast forward to them being back together in the future

You think so? It doesn’t make sense to me that there’d be a time jump in the middle of all this. All the stories are going so strong, how could they just pause like that? They’re only picking up speed. Unless…I guess…Lupe and Juls leave, Beltran settles down into his normal life, Jacobo…yeah, I dunno about that. I can’t imagine him doing anything that would just be background time skip level stuff, even if he’s on the run or in jail or something.

They’re such besotted fools. 🙂 Lol, yeah, we headed into these last few days fearing all kinds of things and in the end they didn’t see each other and that was the biggest drama.

After this episode, I’m fairly sure Juliana and Valentina won’t see each other for a bit. I think now more than ever Juliana’s going to want to leave because she won’t want to cause Valentina more trouble through her association with Jacobo. And now she doesn’t even have a way to get in touch with Valentina, so I think she’ll just leave and probably tell Sergio. But I also think it’ll make their reunion so much sweeter!

Unfortunately, that sounds too likely. It looks like the Chino = Jacobo revelations are going to out and mess things up even more than they already out.

The police arrived, a shootout starts, Mateo arrives and has to hide behind a car as bullets are flying, then out of nowhere, Juls on her heels rocks up and she and Mateo hide together from the bullets.

Jacobo gets in to the house and saves Val in the nick of time but gets shot (through the shoulder, so nothing too bad).

BUT THEN THE COPS DON’T LET JULS IN. She’s just left waiting for news outside. Then she sees Jacobo/El Chino.

I remember you’ve mentioned Jathea in one of your responses to an anon question. I saw one of their vids on Youtube that has 1+ million views.. I’m wondering if it’s worth it… Is it good? I’m kinda looking for other ships to watch while waiting for Juliantina episodes daily.

Sorry for the delay in responding! Um. I think if you ignore all the BTS stuff and just watch till the airport ep (around ep 23?), that would probably be the best experience for you. It’s a nice little happy ending. After that, things start becoming kind of weird and then really weird. There was network interference and it just didn’t make for good watching.

Juliana is alone. But Valentina is alone too. Valentina is alone in the middle of all this people. Sergio left, Mateo support her but she doesn’t know it. I wonder why with all the staff she has lucho always enter and get her. And worst, the ones she thought were friends did that thing on social media. My babies are alone and they didn’t felt alone when they where together.

I know this was sent some days back but it’s even truer now! You’re so right, anon. 

Val could tell Guille because she guessed he’d react well (they’d already had the convo about how it’d be okay if either was gay, clever Val floating that idea early on) but also because his rejection wouldn’t crush her, not the way Lupe’s would for Juls. Val doesn’t have anyone like that anymore, he just died and honestly, even when he was alive, he wasn’t there for her. Jacobo’s support is minuscule, it’s nice but she doesn’t know it’s her father offering tentative approval. 

All her family members see her suffering but think her grief is like their own, something they’ve already handled, everyone’s too focused on their own things to make the effort to reach out. Say what you will about Lupe, at least she keeps on making an effort to reach out to Juls (though occasionally making things worse with her mindset).

And god, “with friends like these…” could not be more appropriate. I hope the breakup’s over soon, they need to be back with each other.

1/2 when i came out to my single brazilian chatolic mother, she was fine with it. she was okay with me being myself and being happy, even with the religious background. i was about to move to europe at the time, and when i asked her if she would come visit me, and be okay to meet any potential girlfriends there, she said yes. she seemed very happy with me leaving though, which made me sad. i was thinking maybe it was because she wanted to get rid of me, but couldnt kick me out

2/2 one day, i found her crying in the living room. i asked why, and she said a friend had told her about this guy who got beaten up for being gay. and then she said, this is why she was happy i was leaving soon. she was ok with me being gay, just not in our small city, because she feared for me. like any mother she just wanted me safe and healthy. i think i see a lot of my mom in lupe, i’d be in character with them being in the run, not wanting even more reasons for juliana to be targeted

Ah, that’s heavy, anon. Sorry you two had to go through that and thanks for sharing a personal story.

I think you could be right. Lupe’s been shown to be so loving and they really are having a tough time, that might be her approach to it.

The interesting thing about this show approaching this from such a fresh and thorough perspective is that they’re showing a lot of things UK/US media doesn’t much include anymore. Outright disgust, “I’m fine with it as long as it’s not my family”, “she’s had boyfriends, she can’t be gay”, “you’re confused, it’s a phase”, and now like you said, possibly “I’m not homophobic, I’m worried for you”, which is of course still not something wants to hear when in that vulnerable place, as if we ourselves aren’t aware it’s dangerous.
