I mean, I don’t know if I’m recommending A Memory Called Empire necessarily, I’m just starting it. I wanted something really intricate to get sucked into again, like Priory, though this isn’t nearly as long, only 450 pages. Thanks, I’ll put Jane, Unlimited on my list.

I’ve read Foundryside but I’ll put Steeplejack on my list. I’d forgotten for a second but I do have Arkady Martine’s A Memory Called Empire to read, I’d pre-ordered it and then put it out of mind but it was released a few days ago.

Actually, if you are interested in what books I like, in between pausing and picking up Priory again, I reread The Rook by Daniel O’Malley, No f/f but no romance at all, if that helps. Also, Hellspark by Janet Kagan, same thing. I actually do have a books tag but those two are the ones I recommend first an always. For f/f, Poppy Jenkins, while being as different in tone and genre from Priory as a book can be, is lovely.
Trying to decide what to read now, since I’m still in a reading mood.

Aw, anon, no worries, I don’t mind doing the signal boost thing, if I did, I wouldn’t do it. I just don’t know if I reach the number of eyeballs people are hoping for, I know that at the start of the fandom I was one of the bigger accounts but I’ve just been meandering along while others have raced on by. But it’s such a nice thing for you to want to send a shout out to and get more attention for another user, that’s so sweet.

I did finish s1 and just barely started on s2 before the week’s shows started up but lol, someone I follow has been liveblogging s2, although it’s more her feelings about it than specific spoilery things, so I’m still fairly in the dark.
I do actually remember reading that! It’s interesting, after another big Netflix cancellation and seeing more about how it renews shows, to also get an insight into how it picks up shows, because my gosh, how niche and oddball is this show. How meta, though, that it developed and was pitched the same way the story unfolds.
