I really don’t know! The show can be so optimistic and inspiring at times and then so filled with sudden, shocking violence. My hope would be that since we’ve seen them suffering, the show will save them from even more, but of course there’s no real probability either way. Another plus in the optimistic column is that they showed them together before and after one of the longest timeskips, indicating they’re an actual relationship instead of something convenient.
But they’re still in the very center of a time that was horrible for them. Ellen was going to lead a mission soon, she’s so in the public eye, her reputation matters. She and Larry may end up marrying, for both their sakes. But we’re only a few timeskips away from when it’s going to be an especially scary time for Larry. I don’t know what the show will do.
I thought it was weird we didn’t get any of Molly or Wayne Cobb in the last ep! Molly was instrumental to finding the water that got them the lab and then disappeared? I hope they do pop up again and lol, yes, he’d be one of the people who’d immediately get what was going on.
i love how u can seemingly watch 10 different shows in the same week but u say u have no stamina for movies ? it’s like the 42 minute mark is the exact moment u run out of steam
Hah, right? That’s the moment when I start getting antsy while the movie usually slows down to really get into the main plot. And that’s when I’ll bail, lol.
It’s weird, though, because I can even watch those weird 90 minute movie eps some British shows put out. There’s just such a difference in promise, you know? TV eps say we’re just gonna tell this one part of a story. That’s fine. But movies are really saying they’re gonna tell me a FULL story in two hours? A story worth watching? Pfft. I’m okay with comedies, action movies, thriller, those are usually well done as movies. The whole point is that they’re very tightly focused. But the more serious or artsy something is, the more I’d rather just go back to a TV ep.

I totally forgot somehow too! It’s been really busy at work lately so Friday morning I downloaded the Apple+ releases and then watched in the afternoon and THEN saw the TDP eps available. I’m super glad it was still early enough that I didn’t see any actual posts and was able to watch all of Amaya and Janai myself unspoiled. I always regret that the first introduction to something through tumblr is often so spoilery. I guess I must have spoiled you too, I hope not too much.

just wanted to let you know much I loved the gif set you did on hope and Freya!! It’s perfect really thank you for posting it!!
No problem! I love them too, even though I got into TO for Freelin, I ended up really loving the Mikaelson Always and Forever vow and how it encompassed Hope too, with all the siblings ready to sacrifice everything for Hope’s safety. Outside of the drama and soapiness and supernatural elements, that tight family bond is so realistic, the more you go through, the more attached you are. And the more you fight for something, the more you value it, and vice versa.
I kind of love that the way things ended up working out, BOTH Freya and Keelin adore Hope because they were two of the only family members she could even meet safely. And so you end up getting these two very cute moments:

I was…pretty angry at Claudia, heh. Like, this stuff is so clearly yikes, and that shields joke, like, haha, my brother and friends in that tiny army we’re going to annihilate, lolz.
So I’m in the middle of rewatching s4 of Killjoys and I still wondering what was the point of turning Johnny Hullen. It felt like it was going to be this big storyline where we’re suppose to question if The Lady was going to turn Johnny or if his connection with Dutch was key to defeating The Lady. There was this build up in the first half of S4 and then that all wrapped up quickly. Do you having any thoughts and what the writers were trying to accomplish with this storyline.
Hmm, ohhh, right, right, the vision she gave Dutch about Johnny killing them all and about to kill her. At first when reading your post I was like, well, it was just a little dramatic arc with heavy but temporary repercussions and eventually led them to figure out how to instantly de-Hullenize somebody, so they could use it to help Delle Seyah give birth, so it served its purpose. But the vision. That and things like Pip and the spider, I think they were meant to create this sense of menace over everything where we weren’t sure how the Lady would manifest when she escaped, who to trust, whether or not it’d come back in Johnny. But you’re right, they never did revisit that. Instead, the Johnny-Dutch connection was used for Khlyen’s story and tracking down Yalena. Thinking back, I was surprised it was dealt with so quickly but pleased. I didn’t want evil Johnny for even longer. 😛
