WEGO Releases Official ReiNako/MakoAmi Merch

sailorfailures:

Seems like Toei is finally acknowledging that shippers rule this fandom because street fashion brand WEGO’s newest Sailor Moon collaboration sure does include official “shippy” merch.

The upcoming collection includes a series of sweatshirts pairing characters together inside a giant loveheart, showcasing mother-daughter relationships (Usagi and Chibi-Usa, Setsuna and Hotaru), canonical romantic relationships (Haruka and Michiru) and…

Rei X Minako and Makoto X Ami.

Both of these pairings are IMMENSELY popular both within Japan and the international fan community – arguably the most popular pairings for the Inner Soldiers, with ReiNako effectively canonized in the 2003 live action adaptation – so WEGO absolutely knows what they’re doing here, especially by contrasting them against the canon couple UraNep.

WEGO’s second collaboration also includes hoodies and tote bags with minimalistic, Y2K-GeoCities-nostalgia styled prints of individual characters, and will be available for purchase online from December 25th to join their first collaboration of T-shirts, caps, and transparent fanny packs.
