I don’t know how they filmed that scene with straight faces because I find it hilarious! 🙂 The other one is at Guille’s party, Lucho and Sergio are in the front of the shot and in the background Valentina is spinning her long ponytail around Juliana. And Juliana’s expression is like: Wtf are you doin? 🙂 I really think that both of the scenes are Maca’s personal touch and weren’t scripted. I also think that Juliana really liked Val
since the beginning and was just waiting to see if the things will develop into something more than friendship, although she would be fine even with friendship. I mean after Val’s first phone call, no one is that happy for a all from a friend! 🙂 Thoughts on all this? Thank and have an amazing day!

Heh, you could be right, those scenes could be Maca adlibbing, she certainly has a gift for it. But I think even their scripted stuff has been so natural, that’s been a huge part of their appeal. Lol, I’m just rereading the scenes you described and remembering, yeah, the spinning ponytail had to be just Maca. That just smacked of them having fun, and we have proof that Barb will just go along when Maca switches things up.
Hmm, I think we’ve discussed that a few times, when exactly Jus started to like Val and when she was aware of her feelings. It’s definitely possible that it was early on, she always seemed to react a certain way, and you’re right, the way she did the fist pump after the invite, the way she dressed up when she went to see her. We all thought that it was so clear that even Lupe was like, aww, this is clearly a crush. Whoops. And then maybe she just doesn’t know how to handle any close friend? But yeah, the range of when she was aware stretches from that first meeting, while crossing the road, to Guille’s party. If she wasn’t aware before that night, she definitely was after.
Do you mean on like, Youtube videos of Demi on Ellen? I suppose I wouldn’t really see it as “using”. She already made her appearance, those comments aren’t going to affect what happens to her after either way, they’re not going to hurt her chances of getting more appearances.
I don’t know the minds of the people making those comments, but I don’t think it’s a matter of the Juliantina actresses being comparable,
I just assume this is an effort they’ve carried on for a while on various videos and they might have jumped harder on this one because it’s also f/f-related content.
I think most of us have at least some straight actors and artists we like and might even go to some trouble for, and I’m guessing part of this Ellen push for the Juliantina actors is just because people like them that much. But also, if you like Demi and Kristian and want good things for them, that’s partly because they’ve done something brave and raised awareness and pushed boundaries, right? Aside from simply being fans of the Juliantina actresses, I’d assume there is a similar line of reasoning for them too.
I’m just not really seeing the harm in this kind of campaign. At worst it’ll just be ignored? It’s not damaging Demi in the eyes of anybody.
She doesn’t think Val will remember. It was said in passing, a moment of misspoken hilarity in the middle of tense family drama, surely forgotten in the wake of the immediate news that followed that Lucia and Jacobo were safe.
But Juls remembers everything about those first days of getting to know Val. She remembers every word, every laugh, every touch that led up to her heart falling so hopelessly in love. She remembers that feeling of contented joy, at being able to coax a laugh from Val again, despite all the stress and anxiety she was feeling, and Juls knew she wanted to spend her entire life trying to get Val to laugh like that again.
So when summer starts to come to a close and she looks at her calendar to see that September 14th lands on a Saturday, Juls can’t help it. Her lip starts to curl upwards as an idea starts to form. Because look— Juls kind of agrees with Val: February 14 is a made up holiday designed to make people in relationships spend extra money. But the idea behind it, of picking a random day to show how much you appreciate the person you love? Juls can get behind that.
