Hey, do you have a link where I can download all the Juliantina scenes in HD without subtitles? Thank you!

Ah, I think the versions you get from zeroty are straight from Univision? You could download those versions.

There’s also this place where you do need to register first: https://xa-cs.com.ar/topic/2920-amar-a-muerte-mega-openload-hd-720p-1080p/?page=1

And another anon:

How many more episodes are left in Amar a Muerte?

68 just aired and we have 87, so 19, though the last one will be a double-header.

And another anon:

Okay not juliantina but I enjoyed Beltran Jacobo and the woman that helps Beltran a lot their scenes were funny

Lol, I do like that the air around them isn’t always angst and cartel drama but that they can become a bit slapstick. The premise is pretty funny when you take away the death part.

And another anon:

Wait that tune, the piano/guitar that always start with their scenes. Is just for them? Not the amar a muerte tune for couples? Juliantina has their own music on the show?

Yep, I think so. There is one dramatic theme everyone shares (which they played during the te quiero bit in the hospital for some reason?) but that particular slow, romantic music is theirs.

And another anon:

I AM SO SORRY IF THAT ASK JUST WENT THROUGH THREE TIMES, IT SAID “BAD REQUEST” EACH TIME AFTER I SENT IT SO I KEPT TRYING. ACCORDING TO MY OUTBOX IT WENT THROUGH THOUGH SO I AM VERY SORRY

I didn’t get anything three times, so we’re good.

with the rising of homophobia in my country makes me believe for a second that juliantina is just living in my dream world

They’re a dream for all of us, but I think it’s important to point out, anon, that they’re feeling the effects of homophobia too. That they can fight against it because they’re fictional characters (especially since one of them is like an orphan billionaire…Batwoman AU?) is great and all, but many individual people fight against it in their own real lives too.

I’m not lecturing you, it sucks, I really am sorry for how it is for you, and me, and all of us watching and living vicariously through media. I’m not trying to say it’s terrible for the characters and not to idealize that world, I’m saying, we’re all fighting against similar circumstances too, in our ways.

As for the rise of homophobia, these things tend to be cyclical. I do think we are always improving overall. Sometimes, particularly in a certain year I like to refer to as 2016, it really doesn’t feel like it, and we see all kinds of terrible crimes that seem to be escalating, and sometimes attitudes do seem to regress, but it’s never for long, and often those crimes are things that would actually be so frequent and matter of fact before that they weren’t even highlighted.

Whatever country you live in, things will eventually get better. Did Mexican wlw think they’d get Juliantina this soon? As a desi, I didn’t think we’d get anything like Ek Ladki. 2015′s Filipino The Rich Man’s Daughter was a mainstream series with the f/f characters as the actual leads. Flozmin got 22 hours of content! I know things are scary with the rise of the right-wing…everywhere, but you see people outraged at it and fighting too. Hopefully we can all hunker down and live through this and get to happier times.

Nah anon needs to calm down. Televisa only kills major characters when they had been villains (Lucia and Beltran’s fates are the one I fear for), or like Mateo/Camilo type of characters but never beloved characters (I’m trying to think a story that fits what they said but nothing comes to mind, and I’ve seen hella lot of their novelas). I know most fear the bury-trope but that doesn’t exist in Mexico. Most importantly Bárbara said we won’t be disappointed and Maca told us to watch until the end.

Mateo is beloved by me! I’m also worried about Eva, what happens there?

I don’t think the reincarnation thing could work here because how would they even use it, in the way future? And the transmigration doesn’t make sense either since this show’s version of it has been people who haven’t been good coming back for a second chance and there’s nobody better than these two.

I don’t mean to rain on Juliantina’s parade but I’m in deep fear that tonight’s talk about meeting in other life is foreshadowing some ugly bullsh*t televisa is about to pull. I grew up watching the awful TV televisa makes and was reluctant to watch aam because of that but those girls, the little touches, the looks… They got me and now I’m scared they are going to pull a March 3rd 2016 on us. I have trust issues since and I know that televisa is capable of doing something like that.

Okay, anon, I get that. I super get that . I can’t promise you it won’t happen here or in any other show you might get invested in.

But March 3rd 2016 isn’t a thing in itself, it’s not really a deliberate thing writers regularly do, reel fans in and then destroy them. It happened that time and we got hit by a whole other bunch of deaths around then too but as hard as it is to believe, it was all a coincidence. Or you could even go so far as to say that a bunch of writers influenced by the same cynical “no-pandering” homophobic and sexist Hollywood attitudes found the same targets at the same time. They wanted to kill people off (and they did, lot of white women and POC killed around that time too) and we’d just started to appear more regularly and they found us disposable. I don’t really see that attitude here?

But that’s not to say that they might not still say, oh, this is a show about death, so it’s a cool thing if it happens, in the way writers often seem to think they’re exempt from BYG no matter what new spin they put on it. The spoiler pics of the ending don’t imply that, but well, I assume that would not be particularly reassuring for a City of Light veteran

It’s just..it’s just really not going to do you any good at all to dwell on it. Drop the show or don’t, thinking on it does not make it any better. Not a single one of these deaths has ever hurt less because we thought it might happen. I don’t know if you sent this to get reassurance or to put out a warning but really, never has anything helped except to simply drop. Just wait out the last weeks?

Hmm now it makes sense how juliantina has remained steady as well the characters! Leonardo padron has a good record of good telenovelas and he’s not only the writer but also creator of amar a muerte so it makes sense there’s almost no one stopping him from doing good shit

Except like…the biases and instincts that have influenced every other genre writer who’s never been able to treat wlw characters as their own people and deserving of their own stories.

I want to do like a study and compare this to soooo many other things around the world. I mean, I assume the poor treatment is the result of the intersection of female character, already pushed a bit to the side, with LGBT and really often, like double diversity points in one token character, so also a WOC. I mean, I don’t think those writers say to themselves, this character isn’t as important. But it shows, doesn’t it? We’ll see how it ends and then dissect every little thing, lol.
