I really hope they return to the topic, especially with Juls after making her go through that. They seem to have set it up to be addressed, the conversations between Sergio-Juls, Sergio-Lucho, and Lupe-everyone have been left open, presumably purposely so?

Theory: Since Val isn’t listening to Sergio, would it be possible that he ends up explaining what happened with him and Juls, to Lupe? Telling her that Juls felt awful before and afterword and was only concerned about Val? I feel like the best redemption arc for Lupe would be her realizing that her meddling threw a wrench in her daughter’s relationship/happiness and then helping to get Juliantina back together.
Hmmmm. That would actually work in making both Sergio and Lupe look better, because right now, yikes.
But I don’t know what could make Lupe see sense, considering how she’s being. She could just be like, Juliana will come around. Yuck. I know it’s important to show but this prolonged hateful illogical homophobia is nasty to see.

it’s my first time watching a telenovela but i was not ready for the sheer quantity and frequency of kidnapping plotlines
Hah, I’m not sure if this is a typical representation of the kidnapping prevalence in telenovelas but I was told that since this is about narcos, it’s going to happen a lot. Still, I feel like every main character, of a large cast, getting kidnapped except like…Johnny and Guille? is a lot!
I mean together or not, getting kidnapped is kinda a bigger deal? Of course shes gonna care and want to help. Most people would in that kind of situation
Well, in this show, would they? But yes, yes, she is that good a person, she would try to help anybody, even if she’d turned off her feelings. But she didn’t need to charge in, braving Lupe and her dialogue, that’s the thing, the dialogue.

I guess I accept what happens, what Juliana’s error was (letting her insecurities talk her into not trusting Val), where she’s coming from, but….how are they going to reconcile after this? Val is going to be extremely hurt by this, and with the limited time left, how can they get back together? Or do you buy the theory that they will end as friends and get together after a timeskip?
You know, I wouldn’t have before, but now…maybe that makes sense. They seemed so much on the same page before, a timeskip would only deprive them valuable time of being together.
Now, there’s quite a bit of processing to get through. If the series were longer, I could imagine them being able to do that in a few more telenovela days, but since it’s not and since they appear to have deliberately kept all this drama and escalation for now…yeah, maybe. Maybe. I dunno, when they talk, they talk so well, they just cut through everything. They could resolve things very quickly or not at all, it depends where the show goes.
