These writers are just incredible. Like having Juliana and Valentina literally in the middle of the storyline is brilliant. We are never used to having w|w storyline being this important. Truth be told our story is normally like Guillie and reneta. Our girls telling the truth and actually communicating with one another then the drama. I’m done guessing on what this show will do. I started watching the entire series and love each storyline except Johny he’s out of place and should just die

Right? Important to the story and being honest and direct. There’s never a “why didn’t you just tell them???” moment. They’re always just honest with each other.

That trust Juls holds in Val in answering something that could go so wrong and that trust returned, even when understandably upset and confused at the whole thing, she’s willing to give Juls a chance to explain it.

Just checking to see if you receive this ask. I don’t know if my asks are going through or not.

Sorry, I probably did, unless you sent something with a link. I’m trying to figure out how to answer them, it’s a bit of a lottery, depending on when I happen to see them and how quickly I can answer, if I haven’t already answered, if I want to add gifs or meta, if it’s not about their personal life or someone calling me boocita. I will try to get to them all at some point but if you sent me something and really want an answer, either send it again or just come off anon.

I started watching amar a muerte from the beginning after watching all the Juliantina scenes bc i was really intrigued by the story. So far one of the characters i’ve enjoyed watching (when she’s not with Johnny) is Lucia. I’m only on ep 12, but it’s really interesting to me all the flashbacks she has of Leon bc i think she really loved him but just everything else shows something different and i kinda just want to know more about that

Johnny is honestly the worst part of the show to me. Away from him, I actually like Lucia a lot. Angelique Boyer is great and also Lucia’s just plain interesting in how she interacts with the Carvajals. I think she did eventually grow to love Leon and a part of her just wants to be accepted by his kids, by any family, but Guille and Val are at least nice people too. Jacobo is obviously younger and ostensibly better looking than Leon but a lot of what attracts Lucia to him are the parts that remind her of Leon. If the scheme had been allowed to go on longer and she didn’t live in a telenovela, she’d probably have fully fallen in love with Leon and that would be that.

As with everything on that side of the story, her relationship with Val is particularly of interest. I’ve said before that the Juliantina parts kind of slow down the story and make it more real and that’s true there too. Both Val and Lucia loved Leon in a wistful kind of way, in the hopes of what could have been and now both miss him bitterly and have bonded over that in a way the others don’t really share.
