Hey i would just like to ask how u were able to make a (great) gifset of the latest killing eve episode! Do u watch it on tv or torrent or smth

Until yesterday’s ep, I’ve been watching this season on the AMC site, where it’s available at the same time as it starts airing live on TV. And even though I can immediately start downloading it, I still have to actually watch it before I can gif so I finish at the same time as everyone else (well, a little earlier, the stream doesn’t have ads).

But yesterday’s ep was apparently leaked a few hours early? The news just seemed to spread on Twitter and the link from person to person through DM, which is how I got it. So I was able to finish watching it hours before it aired and once it officially started, I could start giffing as soon as the download finished. Although, I really did want to make sure not to spoil anyone on THIS particular scene, so I actually turned the TV on and tuned into AMC to see where the live broadcast was with its commercials and waited till the scene aired before posting. I imagine next week it probably will not get leaked.

@ your anon; instead of trying to do thinly veiled wank (it was sandra oh who said what y’all thought was queerbait; if you want a happy ending between villaneve, this ship is not it but they definitely have had romantic moments in the canon and the like so it’s not really queerbaiting. but there’s plenty of other femslash options still around if u look at booasaur’s blog so no one is forcing you to watch killing eve)

I…shouldn’t have published the previous ask publicly, I realize now. I thought a flippant response would show I didn’t take it seriously, so just to clarify, I don’t. I understand sometimes that cast and crew can make comments that can come across badly or ARE bad, I didn’t like the Orphan Black post-Delphine “death” crew response at all. But this wasn’t that for me. 

But thank you to you and the other anons who responded, who I won’t publish for fear of descending deeper into a discourse I hadn’t intended, but which did prompt this fun mental image:

have you ever read “This Is How You Lose The Time War”? Your recent ask about Dani and Grace where you mentioned the time-shifting aspect kind of reminded me about that book. It’s wonderful if you were thinking of picking up a book and not too long either

I did read it! I liked it, but I felt like it ended just when it was getting started? I love when characters process in depth and it was just a long setup to then a quick “well, that happened”. It was very pretty and interesting, for sure! I just wanted more. 😮

=watching fort salem and pleasantly surprised! nice to see a new spin on “witchy” shows even if its a lil hammy and im interested to see how it delves into themes of war and blind loyalty and propoganda etc since thats what sets it apart. also it’s so cool that a wlw couple is so central to the story? its literally the main romance like WOW. also the girl who plays raelle is SO attractive. the scar! i have never been so charmed by a scar. sorry i just had to gush. i hope ur enjoying it too haha

 I’m glad you’re liking it, anon! It does seem to be subverting and deconstructing a lot of those topics, although of course it’s still a Freeform show with its target audience so it works in those teen romances. BUT. Yes, the big central star-crossed lovers are wlw. That is always super cool when we get it.

And heh, no worries about the gushing, she is pretty but badass. The suit for Beltane was awesome. It’s cool they didn’t cover her scar, the circumstances under which she got it were terrible.

I was enjoying it, yeah, but I might drop it. It’s not holding me as much as I’d hoped and I didn’t like some of the choices they made. But I’m just one person, and many more people seem to be jumping onto it every week. 🙂
