I’m really sad and really angry about what’s happening right now. For those of you who don’t know, Mary Jane Veloso, a Filipina OFW, is in the deathrow for drug charges.

She’s a victim of human trafficking. She is going to be executed in front of a firing squad for a crime she did not commit. My countrymen are protesting for her freedom but the Indonesian government refuses to hear us. Our government doesn’t seem to care enough to fight for her. I am absolutely sickened by their lack of action. It just makes it clear where their loyalties really lie. It is not in the Filipino people. It is not in the value of our lives.

Please help us save her. Sign this petition.

Don’t let this be forgotten.

She’s been sent back to the Philippines to testify against the human traffickers. I’d be very surprised if she was sent back after that, no matter what the agreement with Indonesia.

Of course, now that I’ve typed that, it looks hopelessly optimistic… 🙁
