Ugh, how much I love the many awesome things about this scene:

  • The very real issue they’re discussing.
  • The very compelling choice for Harvey between loyalty and what’s right.
  • Harvey’s loyalty to not only Cameron but also Jessica in attempting to keep things quiet.
  • Jessica’s shock and protectiveness at her boy being exposed to all this.
  • Jessica’s guilt at putting him in that position and not seeing it earlier.
  • Jessica’s hurt at Harvey thinking she wanted him to learn Cameron’s corrupt practices.
  • Harvey not actually learning those practices.
  • Their absolutely unequivocal belief, despite being big money, ruthless lawyers, that Cameron was in the wrong.
  • Their faith in the system. “Higher standards” indeed.
  • The knowledge that while Jessica may think Harvey should talk about Cameron and may even be a little disappointed in him, she will do everything to protect and defend him, not just as his lawyer, but his real mentor and friend.
  • How his treatment of Jessica is Harvey’s ruler of loyalty.
